Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance assistant is responsible for the upkeep of the facility, building, building systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following tasks and assignments:

1. Facility Maintenance:
   1. Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment.
   2. Performs all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports.
   3. Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes.
   4. Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
   5. Maintains clean, safe working environment (workshop).
   6. Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily.
   7. Tests and logs water temperatures daily.
   8. Observes budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedure as if relates to purchase order system and approval before ordering supplies.
   9. Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
   10. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Performance Improvement:
   1. Performs weekly environment rounds to ensure a clean, safe and pleasant environment for staff and residents.

1. Professional Development:
   1. Attends all general staff in-services.
   2. Attends daily departmental meetings.
   3. Maintains skills and technical education through technical journals and outside seminars.

1. High School graduate equivalent.
2. Two (2) years maintenance experience preferred.
