Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following tasks and assignments

1. Follow oral and written instructions
2. Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)
3. Follow schedule for laundry department
4. Adjust water temperature valves to maintain required temperatures
5. Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately
6. Identify and report garments or linens in ill repair to supervisor
7. Collect soiled laundry.
8. Sort laundry and linens and ensure they are washed in the proper cycle.
9. Follow proper cleaning and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions.

10.  Distribute neat, clean laundry and personal resident clothing.

1. Keep equipment and work areas clean.
2. Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.

13.  Other related duties as assigned.

1. High School education or GED.
2. A minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience in a long- term care setting preferred
