Overview

At FutureCare our Patient Account Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring all necessary requirements are met so that the facility will be paid for services rendered. This position is an Accounts Receivable/Patient Accounts position with a variety of duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day review, input, processing, and coordination of billing and receivable information between the facility and the Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform verification of medical insurances
  • Input, review, and frequent maintenance of admissions data
  • Conduct daily census reporting
  • Complete monthly AR reviews  and communicate outstanding balances with residents/RP/POA as required
  • Prepare and issue collection letters, including follow-up calls as needed
  • Maintain resident funds accounts in accordance with State Comar regulations
  • Maintain resident information confidential by staying HIPPA compliant
  • Ensure timely/accurate completion and submission of all State Medicaid applications

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred with evidence of college courses or in accounting
  • Experience Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience supporting financial teams in a long-term healthcare facility a plus
  • Initiative and proactive; willing to take on new and challenging assignments
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple critical functions in a changing and growing environment
  • Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with other accounting team members, departments, and management
