Overview

At FutureCare the Maintenance Director is resopnsible for developing and executing the maintenance prevention program within the facility and determines the need for emergency renovation, carpentry services, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance services as needed.  This positon will be located in the Annapolis, MD area.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor maintenance staff and maintenance contractors working in the facility 
  • Provideongoing preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
  • Oversee and approve all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports
  • Inspect maintenance work for quality, safety, and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment (workshop)
  • Verify daily logs of refrigerator temperatures 
  • Validate daily test and logs of water temperatures within the facility
  • Mandate and observe budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedure as if relates to purchase order system and approval before ordering supplies.
  • Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
  • Acts as chairperson for Safety Committee
  • Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent; college graduate a plus
  • Must have at least 5years experience in a maintenance supervisory role
  • General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, roofing, and grounds
  • General knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration
  • must exercise considerable independent judgment
  • Ability exercise tact and courtesy in contacts with facility staff, contractors and general public
