Responsibilities

The Corporation Dietitian is primarily responsible for providing and managing vacation, childbirth leave, and medical leave coverage, in addition to workload assistance, for all FutureCare facilities. The Corporate Dietitian reports directly to the Director of Nutrition Services and works closely with the Director of Nutrition Services, Corporate Director of Dining Services, regional clinical and operations management teams to ensure adherence to state and federal regulatory guidelines for all aspects of food and nutrition services. The Corporate Dietitian supports efforts for key indicators including patient satisfaction, process improvement, effective clinical coverage, quality consistency, staff growth and retention and achieving budgetary goals. The Corporate Dietitian mentors and trains facility Registered Dietitians to ensure clinical competency and productivity and communicates organizational mission and goals to FutureCare Food and Nutrition Services teams. Travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Dietitian license in the state of Maryland
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian working in a skilled nursing facility
  • Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and ability to apply all steps of the process
  • A strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to counsel and educate others
  • Decision making, problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
