Overview

FutureCare is excited to open our second location in Anne Arundel County, FutureCare Annapolis. We are looking to hire top notch candidates who can deliver outstanding service while focusing on care and support as a team member working at this new location.   The facility is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar upgrade project with a goal of opening for business in late spring of 2025.  FutureCare Annapolis will be licensed as a 154-bed skilled nursing facility serving the post-acute and long-term care needs of the community.  FutureCare, voted by our employees as a Top Workplace for 13 years in a row, is an experienced and stable provider serving Maryland for over 36 years.  Our goal is to establish our new facility as a premier provider in Anne Arundel County.

 

FutureCare Annapolis is situated in the suburban Annapolis area near a development called Heritage Harbor which is just a few minutes from downtown Annapolis, Maryland and has easy access to major travel arteries.  The center will provide ample parking, attractive common areas, and an expansive rehabilitation gym and suite.  Patient rooms are spacious with high ceilings. When the renovations are complete the center will be stunning.

Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately. Offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment
  • Performs all necessary repairs and maintains accurate records and logs and produces required reports
  • Assures compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes
  • Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Maintains clean, safe working environment at all times of the maintenance workshop
  • Reads and logs refrigerator temperatures daily
  • Tests and logs water temperatures daily
  • Observes budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and service and follows proper procedures relating to FutureCare’s purchase order system
  • Adheres to facility policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a building maintenance capacity highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment a plus
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language  
  • Must have a polite and courteous demeanor towards residents and staff members
  • Ability to multi-task and work a flexible shift highly desirable
  • Ability to meet physical demands with standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds
