Overview

FutureCare Health and Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to join our executive management team as a strategic partner.  The Vice President of Human Resources will lead a team of Human Resources (HR) professionals responsible for recruiting and training, employee engagement and relations, benefit plan development and administration, and workforce development and compensation.  This executive will help set the strategic direction for our company’s workforce priorities. They will also work closely with center level executives and HR management teams to evaluate, update, and/or generate efficient and cost-effective company policies, procedures, programs, HR systems and training solutions.

Salary Range $170K-$190K

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately. Offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

FutureCare’s Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for the following key essential functions:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the company’s overall human resource functions and performance
  • Directly oversees the Director of Talent Acquisition and Recruitment and other corporate HR  staff
  • Works collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility. Identifies appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the organization
  • Participates in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people
  • Develops and implements performance management programs that align with business goals
  • Develops, implements and monitors HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of system that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization
  • Translates the strategic and tactical business plans of operations into HR strategic and human capital plans for the company including our corporate team, individual center locations and related business lines by working collaboratively with operations leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Works closely with outside legal counsel in matters of employment and labor law
  • Provides direction to team members in the areas of associate relations, compensation, benefits, and training
  • Analyzes HR related costs and work closely with center level executives and the HR management team to evaluate, update, and/or generate more efficient and cost-effective company policies, procedures, programs, systems and/or training solutions
  • Provides guidance and advice to the Regional Education Manager in the evaluation and implementation of companywide training solutions, considering feedback and input from managers/supervisors
  • Works closely with third party benefits administrator and Benefits Specialist to investigate, analyze, and recommend benefit plan options on an annual basis, oversee the creation and distribution of companywide communications outlining updates
  • Provides oversight and guidance for administration of FMLA, LOA, Workers Compensation, OSHA requirements, the corrective action process, and the facilitation of training programs
  • Provides guidance and/or participate in discussions with managers and supervisors to guide and coach on associate relations matters, company policies and procedures, and administration of benefits programs
  • Oversees the development and administration of compensation plans, including conducting and analyzing compensation surveys
  • Works with HR management team to ensure the completion of all legally required reporting

Qualifications

Desirable qualifications for this role include:

 

  • Ability to understand the healthcare industry including long term care and the clinical and quality and financial issues facing organizations in healthcare.
  • A detailed familiarity with all aspects of various components of human resource information systems including applicant tracking and onboarding platforms, time and attendance and scheduling, payroll as education platforms
  • A track record of success and change leadership, including demonstrable contributions to organizational restructuring, productivity improvements, and cultural transformation at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

The individual we seek for this role will possess the following education, experience and skills:

  • A Master’s degree with a concentration in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or Healthcare Administration
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of Human Resources or related management experience
  • A background of increasingly accountable experience and success in the human resources field
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment with a diverse set of market challenges and opportunities
  • Exceptional knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, and FLSA
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex HR issues
  • Ability to work independently and priotize tasks in  a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to negotiate and manage collective bargaining agreements and alternative dispute resolution processes
