Overview

At FutureCare the Clinical Director of Education assumes responsibility for the development, oversight, and training of educational curriculums for all disciplines of FutureCare Health & Management Corporation. Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate support to Leadership, Regional Directors, and staff to achieve educational objectives established in accordance with identified learning needs, policies and procedures and state and federal regulations
  • Assist in delivering classroom and one-on-one training, coaching and development to new hires and existing team members
  • Hire, direct, and manage Staff Education Specialists
  • Design, develop and deliver new training solutions and materials; job skills and soft skills curriculum
  • Designs and develops blended learning solutions (self study guides, coaching tools, job aids)
  • Conducts task and skill set assessments
  • Responsible for tracking and analysis of programs by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance; helps to develop and revise programs, evaluation tools, and measurements to determine effectiveness of curriculum content
  • Assist in contacting attendees, schedules classroom, prepares room set-up, conducts follow-up evaluations, monitors and maintains training records database and manages other administrative details
  • Serve as a resource to answer staff questions regarding training needs and programs
  • Attends workshops and participates in educational experiences that assist in maintaining and improving personal clinical, teaching and leadership skills
  • Maintains & catalogues written education materials, videos, and equipment and makes them available to staff when needed
  • Implements employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote an elevated level of employee morale
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Nursing industry, standards of care, and demonstrates sound decision making and judgment in educational activities involving all levels of patient care
  • Develop and evaluate educational programs for a variety of adult audiences
  • Uses personal qualities and professional techniques to stimulate the interest of learners, motivate them to take constructive action and incorporate knowledge and skills
  • Coordinate and develop a corporate master training schedule
  • Obtains input from the facility Executive Director(s) in performance appraisal of the assigned Education Speialist
  • Coordinates the progress of the Education Specialists in accomplishment of goals to meet mandatory in-services as well as key corporate identified learning initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan

Qualifications

Must possess a Master's Degree or Higher

Licensed to practice in the state of Maryland as a Registered Nurse; MSN preferred

3-5 years of clinical and/or teaching experience with gerontological or related focus

Knowledge and experience in curriculum design, development, and instruction for adult learners.

Knowledge of the principles, practices, and regulations of long-term care

Demonstrated critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills. Must be energetic, organized, meticulous, flexible and an adaptive learner
Strong presentation and classroom facilitations skills

Ability to demonstrate core competencies in current clinical practices and knowledge

Ability to work within a constantly changing environment
Ability to analyze and interpret technical requirements and develop appropriate training solutions and measurements

Ability to work in and maintain a flexible, resident-centered environment

Demonstrate ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and groups
Must be able to travel
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
