  • Overview

    To assess, coordinate, monitor and maintain a COST-effective inventory of supplies for the care of residents and daily functioning of the facility.



    Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following tasks and assignments:


    1. Maintains adequate supplies on the individual units based on designated par levels.
    2. Provides for resident’s personal supplies.
    3. Assists nursing with monitoring of daily supply requests.
    4. Coordinates  and maintains Medicare Part B billing and supply services
      1. Daily PT charge items.
      2. Charging for items.
      3. Restocking of supplies per program.
      4. Maintaining of bins for Part B program.
      5. Maintain adequate par levels of supplies in central supply area.
      6. Maintain oxygen, oxygen supplies, concentrator for resident’s requiring these services.
      7. Maintains equipment and supplies for residents in supplemental and enteral feedings:
        1. Tube feeding pumps and supplies
        2. Enteral products and supplements
        3. Maintain accurate feeding pump history and inspection record
        4. Ensure enteral feeding products are maintained at the appropriate temperature with appropriate action taken as indicated
        5. Ensure supplies are appropriately labeled (ex: clean and dirty supplies and supplies needing to be returned for repair)
        6. Ensure PPE available
        7. Ensure MSDS for cleaning products used
        8. Ensure emergency eyewash is available
        9. Ensure first aid supplies are available
        10. Cleaning schedules posted and maintained for assigned areas
        11. Appropriate operating manuals available
        12. Ensure tags/labels and bags are stocked for use in returning feeding pumps to central supply for tracking
        13. Capture chargeable items per facility procedure.
        14. Maintain clean, orderly, organized supply area.
        15. Verifies all orders when delivered by vendors.
        16. Performs accurate weights in all residents per designated schedule.
        17. Maintain accurate weight logs.
        18. Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
        19. Performs other duties as assigned.



    1. High school graduate.
    2. Strong communication skills.
    3. Have qualities of patience, accuracy with details, dependability and organization.
